Taelon Parson, DPT
My name is Taelon Parson, I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy who believes that physical therapy needs a reframe. Most people know me as Tae.
I graduated from the University of Washington where I played Wide Receiver, majored in Physiology, and fell in love with how we work as Humans. Through my own injury recovery experiences and with great mentors and advisors, I ditched the pre-med track and went on to complete my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University.
I decided early on in my career that the traditional approach to physical therapy was not good enough.
I became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to be able to provide my patients with exercises and strategies for meaningful movement and effective exercise.
I continued to develop my manual skills and became a student of performance rehab to better understand how to bridge the gap between the everyday and the elite.
I became an expert in dry needling, spinal manipulation, PNF, and other manual techniques in order to create windows of opportunity for patients to retrain and reeducate the way they move.
I have had the opportunity to work with athletes and patients of all ability levels. During my internship training, I worked with the best in the recovery game in Sports Medicine at EXOS and Fischer Sports Institute in Arizona where I honed my treatment method with performance in mind. My experience has afforded me the pleasure to work with athletes from the NFL, MLB, collegiate athletes, ultramarathoners, cross-fitters, and the list continues to grow.
I believe every person we meet along the way offers us a chance to learn and grow. I have the best job in the world: connect with humans and help them achieve their goals. I created Sonder as a platform to do just that; with the goal to positively impact my community by promoting movement and resilience.
