I am a trail runner who found myself suffering through my runs starting in May of 2023. I endured the summer just getting through runs and not enjoying it. The front of both of my knees were in pain to the point where I had to stop running. My nightmare. I could not walk downstairs or play with my kids. I knew I had to do something.

A friend recommended seeing Dr. Tae which I did in early-September 2023. At the beginning of my first appointment Dr. Tae pin pointed the problem! “You’ve been quad dominant your whole life. It worked for you until it didn’t but we are going to fix it.” His energy was high and he was very confident that he could indeed fix it. He gave me stride advice and said to go run after the appointment. It was really hard to focus on running using my hamstrings and glutes after rarely using them. I did it and it got easier and easier and my knees felt better and better.

Dr. Tae also stuck some needles in me. I do not like needles but his calmness and sense of humor got me through it the first time. After I felt the results and dry needling also became easier. Finally, he gave me a bunch exercises to do. I started these and they now have become part of my warm up routine. By mid-September 2023 I was running pain free! I couldn’t and still can’t believe it. I thought I was old and done running, instead I am running faster than ever thanks to Dr. Tae. My only regret wasnot going to see him right away.
